Denver has several bus lines and two light rail systems. Union Station is located at 17th and Wynkoop in the LoDo district. The original structure opened in 1881, but was destroyed by fire 13 years later. It was rebuilt, and became a major hub for trains in the Western U.S. Today, trains that stop at Union Station meet up with the C-line light rail route, as well as Amtrak's California Zephyr and the Denver & Rio Grande Western's Ski Train.
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) runs a program called skyRide, which offers “deluxe transit coaches”, free parking, and luggage service from the Denver Metro Area to the airport.
Denver International Airport, located in the northeast of the state, is the largest airport in the U.S. and one of the busiest in the world.
